How to Create 90 Days of Content Ideas

By the time you’re done reading this email, you’ll have a fail-proof system for generating virtually limitless video content ideas!

Say goodbye to creator’s block and content droughts for good.

Step 1: Know Your Ideal Client Inside and Out

The key to generating video content that truly resonates with your audience is to have a deep, intimate understanding of who they are, what they struggle with, and what they desire.

So before you even think about brainstorming video ideas, you need to get crystal clear on your ideal client avatar.

And I mean really clear – not just surface-level demographics, but the fears, doubts, challenges, goals, and beliefs that keep them up at night.

Here’s a quick exercise to help you flesh out your ideal client profile:

Make a list of 10 Answers to each of these Questions:

What are their biggest fears and insecurities?

What tangible problems do they face in their life or business?

What are their secret desires and aspirations?

What questions are they dying to have answered?

What’s holding them back from taking action on their goals?

What past failures or setbacks are they struggling to overcome?

What limiting beliefs are keeping them stuck?

Really challenge yourself to dig deep and get inside your ideal client’s head. The more specific and detailed you can get, the easier it will be to generate content that speaks directly to their needs.

Step 2: Brainstorm 5 Angles for Each Answer

Once you have your master list of ideal client insights, it’s time to start turning them into video ideas. And the key here is to approach each one from multiple angles.

For Each Answer on your list, come up with 5 different Video Angles or approaches:

A personal story or anecdote that illustrates the point

A client case study or success story

A metaphor or analogy that makes the concept more relatable

A thought-provoking question or reflection prompt

A contrarian viewpoint or myth-busting take

The beauty of this approach is that it allows you to take a single insight or pain point and spin it into 5 unique pieces of content.

So if you came up with 10 fears and 10 desires in step one, you now have the seeds for 100 distinct videos!

Step 3: Outline Each Video – Hook, Story, Teach, Recap, CTA

Of course, a video idea is not the same as a fully fleshed-out video. That’s where this next step comes in.

For each of your Brainstormed Ideas, create a Quick Outline that hits these 5 key beats:

The Hook: An attention-grabbing opening that speaks directly to the viewer’s problem or desire and hints at the solution you’ll provide

The Story: A personal anecdote, case study or metaphor that illustrates the problem and sets up the teaching point

The Teach: The core lesson, insight or strategy you want to impart to the viewer

The Recap: A quick summary of the key takeaways and how the viewer can apply them

The CTA: A clear, specific call-to-action telling the viewer what to do next to go deeper with you

This outline becomes your roadmap for fleshing out the full video script. And because you’re starting with a strong structure, the writing process becomes much easier and faster.

Step 4: Batch Your Recording or Going Live

Now that you have a stockpile of fleshed-out video outlines, it’s time to bring them to life.

And the key to making the creation process as efficient as possible is to batch your recordings together – this eliminates ‘switching costs’.

Block off a few hours, a half day, or even a full day to knock out as many videos as you can in one focused session. You’ll be amazed at how much more you can get done when you’re in the flow and not constantly starting and stopping.

If you’re pre-recording, try to create similar types of videos back to back, so you can reuse the same setup, wardrobe, etc., without having to break down and start over each time.

Step 5: Rinse and Repeat Consistently

The real power of this system comes from consistent implementation.

Commit to setting aside time each week or month to brainstorm new ideas, flesh out outlines, and batch your recording.

The more you practice this process, the faster and more effortless it will become.

You’ll start to see opportunities for new angles and approaches everywhere.

And you’ll never again have to worry about running out of ideas or scrambling to come up with last minute content.

This is the exact process I used to stockpile a quarter’s worth of video content in a single weekend.

And it’s not a one-time thing – every time I set aside a few hours to follow these steps, I’m able to generate enough ideas and outlines to keep my content machine humming for months.

Imagine how much more free time and creative energy you’ll have when you’re not constantly stressing about what to post next.

That’s the power of having a proven system for generating and executing on winning video ideas.

So, block off some time this week to brainstorm your ideal client’s key problems and desires.

Come up with those 5 juicy angles for each one. Flesh out your hooks, stories and teaching points.

And then hit record and share your mastery with the world.
